When we develop products, it’s always good to hear from the people who use them so we can make sure we’re hitting our mark. And because our egos are (mostly) in check, we like to collaborate with other inventors to help them get their products ready for market. It’s all just part of our mission to make the world a more accessible place where people with vision loss and multiple disabilities can lead the most independent and productive lives possible. Keep reading to see how you can get involved.
Test a Product
As a product tester, you’ll be providing a great service to not just us, but to the entire community with vision loss by making sure our designs are not only useful, but easy-to-use. All you need to do is qualify and we’ll get in touch with some instruction and some products to test.

APH is seeking teachers to evaluate and test Cosmic Number Lines, a math game for iOS devices. The app is designed to help early elementary school students with blindness or low vision—specifically, second and third graders—learn numeracy concepts and skills through interactive number lines. Some of the foundational skills your students will learn include constructing a number line, locating points, comparing numbers, finding distances, and solving addition and subtraction problems.
This app would be a great supplement to classroom instruction by strengthening all students’ understanding through fun gameplay, regardless of their level of vision.
Testing begins in spring 2025. If you have an iOS device and are interested in testing this app with your second and third grade-level students, please submit this application form by February 14th, 2025.

The Paige Connect field test is an opportunity for TVIs and Rehabilitation Specials with beginning braille students of any age or for teachers and paraprofessionals who transcribe materials.
The Paige Connect is a metal board with an attached USB cable which replaces the bottom of a Perkins Braille writer. Once assembled and connected to power, Paige Connect operates as a six-key Bluetooth keyboard to be used on any website or application that accepts six-key entry. If you are interested in field testing this device, please complete this evaluator application form for Paige Connect by January 31, 2025.
