Reach & Match Light is a compact version of the popular Reach & Match® Inclusive Education Kit. It includes all 26 alphabet tiles and a convenient round zip case for easy transportation. The tiles are the same size as in the original Reach & Match kit for interchangeable use. This smaller kit features four mats, each measuring 614mm x 614mm (about 2′ x 2′), making it ideal for educators and therapists to easily transport to homes or other settings.
Perfect for small groups of 1-4 children, Reach & Match Light supports a range of developmental activities. Toddlers can strengthen their manual dexterity and explore tactile patterns, while preschoolers engage in braille and print learning, motor skill development, and training in direction and spatial awareness.
Originally designed for children with low vision or blindness, Reach & Match Light is also loved by children with autism for its engaging and interactive design. The four colorful mats—red, blue, green, and yellow—can be arranged like puzzle pieces. Each mat has two sides: one with raised tactile patterns that match corresponding tiles, and the other with a recessed path perfect for finger tracing. The cut-out shapes on the mats also correspond to the tiles for an added layer of sensory learning.
Everything fits neatly into the round zip case, which sits at the center of the puzzle mat arrangement for easy access.

Learning to explore the environment outside of one’s arm length is a big priority for all children, especially those with visual impairments.
A smaller kit will be ideal for homes, preschools, and kindergarten rooms. The list of game ideas is very helpful for the TVI’s, parents, and school staff. I expect to use this product MORE because it will be more portable.
I have had some teachers who are unwilling to keep the Reach and Match out because of its size, which limits its use to direct instruction during my sessions. The smaller version may be more accommodating to teachers with less floor space so they can keep it out or, since it is smaller and so much more manageable, teachers in these instances may begin to use it because they can more easily set it up and take it down. I would also consider using the smaller, more portable version during assessments. I could assess a variety of concepts and skills, such as auditory skills, matching, shapes, colors, etc.
